The Amirkabir Journal of Civil Engineering (Amirkabir J Civil Eng), established in 2009, is a double-blind peer-reviewed monthly journal, owned, managed & published by Amirkabir University of Technology. The journal publishes original research articles that lead to the novel knowledge, innovation and understanding of the field of civil engineering. Publisher History

The Amirkabir Journal of Civil Engineering is owned, managed and published by published by Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), the Ex "Tehran Polytechnic". Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) (Persian: دانشگاه صنعتی امیرکبیر), also called the "Tehran Polytechnic", is a public technological university located in Tehran, Iran. The university was established in 1958 under the name of "Tehran Polytechnic". Then in 1979, it is renamed after the Iranian prime minister Amir Kabir (1807–1852). AUT is the oldest technical university established in Iran. The university has been publishing academic journals since 1968 and plays a significant role as an academic publisher both regionally and globally in the fields of research, innovation, and technology.

Journal History

The history of Amirkabir University of Technology journals can be divided into three periods. In 1968, the journal titled "Scientific and Technical Journal of Tehran Polytechnic" was founded as the predecessor of the current title. From 1985 to 2009, the journal was renamed "Amirkabir Journal of Scientific and Research," covering various engineering and science fields. Then, from 2009 to 2017, the journal was divided into publications of both Persian and English international journals under different specific titles which one of them was "Journal of Civil and Environmental Engineering". In 2017, the journal name changed to current title as "Amirkabir Journal of Civil Engineering".

The journal is published in Persian fulltexts, provided with English Extended Abstracts also .

Amirkabir University of Technology is supporting most of the publishing costs of the journal. So Article Processing Charge (APC) and any other publication fees in the journal are free for authors. There is NO APC charges for this journal.

Amirkabir Journal of Civil Engineering is published as an open access electronic journal, so there is no subscription fee for audiences.
