Majority of the natural embankments are layered and are usually in saturated condition. Hence, this research investigates the failure wedge caused by the wall’s rotation around the heel. Physical measurements were performed in order to provide data to use the graphical approach of calculation of lateral pressure of layered embankments in both saturated and non-saturated conditions. Thus, 4 layering models were tested including: 1) two layered (upper layer: clay, bottom layer: sand), 2) two layered (upper layer: sand, bottom layer: clay), 3) three layered (upper layer: sand, middle layer: clay, bottom layer: sand) and 4) a for layered model (upper layer: clay, first middle layer: sand, second middle layer: clay, bottom layer: sand). Elevation of layers in each layering model were determined to be equal. Results indicated that using common theoretical methods will result in a conservative design for walls which increases the construction costs. Absence of the failure wedge at wall toe as well as the 32.75% and 29.25% difference between experimental results to theoretical results of Rankin and Sirnivasa methods are other evidence for the conservative design of walls using common methods.}, keywords = {Retaining walls,Lateral Force,Saturated Soil Layer,Failure Wedge}, title_fa = {برآورد نیروی جانبی وارده بر دیوارهای حائل مجاور با خاکریزهای لایه ای تحت شرایط اشباع و غیراشباع}, abstract_fa = {چکیده: بررسی وضعیت گوه شکست خاکریز پشت دیوار حایل به لحاظ نحوه ی توسعه یافتگی و ابعاد هندسی آن، مبین نحوه حرکت دیوار و میزان تخریب کنندگی ناشی از آن می باشد. در شرایط طبیعی خاکریزها به گونه ای هستند که عمدتاً لایه ای بوده و گاهی تحت شرایط اشباع شدن قرار می گیرند. از این رو تحقیق حاضر بر مبنای بررسی آزمایشگاهی گوه شکست حاصل از دوران دیوار حول پاشنه پایه گذاری گردید و اندازه گیری های فیزیکی لازم، جهت استفاده از روش ترسیمی در محاسبه نیروی ناشی از فشار جانبی خاکریزهای لایه ای در دو حالت اشباع و غیراشباع صورت پذیرفته است. برای این منظور مدل خاکریز پشت دیوار طره ای با چهار نوع لایه بندی مختلف از ترکیب دو نمونه خاک ریزدانه رسی و خاک ماسه ای ساخته شد. پروفیل عمقی خاکریزهای دو لایه ای به دو صورت شامل: لایه بالایی: رس،لایه زیرین،: ماسه، لایه بالایی: ماسه، لایه زیرین: رس و پروفیل عمقی خاکریزهای سه و چهار لایه ای به صورت لایه بالایی: ماسه، لایه میانی: رس و لایه زیرین: ماسه و لایه بالایی: رس، لایه میانی اول: ماسه، لایه میانیدوم: رس و لایه انتهایی: ماسه در پشت مدل دیوار به گونه ای طراحی و اجرا گردید که ارتفاع لایه های تشکیل دهنده هر پروفیل مساوی باشد. نتایج نشان داد: نتایج آزمایشگاهی بدست آمده که بهره برداری از روابط تئوری موجود منجر به طرح محافظه کارانه دیوار حائل و در نتیجه افزایش هزینه اجرا می شود. عدم ایجاد گوه شکست از پای دیوار بر خلاف نتایج حاصل از تئوری های کلاسیک و همچنین متوسط کاهش 32/75 و 29/25 درصدی نیروی جانبی وارده بر دیوار حاصل از داده های آزمایشگاهی نسبت به مقادیر روش های رانکین و سیرنیواسا، شاهدی بر این مدعا می باشد.}, keywords_fa = {Retaining walls,Lateral Force,Saturated Soil Layer,Failure Wedge}, url = {https://ceej.aut.ac.ir/article_988.html}, eprint = {https://ceej.aut.ac.ir/article_988_d077ddcd8a159788ae2e40332fa3bde7.pdf} }
